Positions

Guildford School of Acting Acting Head of Stage Management Course (1997) Brought in  to run the course for a term, and to restructure the  theatre electrics and sound syllabus. Responsible for all department and show budgets, teaching lighting and sound design and operation to one and two year stage management students, supervising technical aspects and overseeing all other production departments during the term. Technical Co-ordinator (1993-95)  Responsibilities included teaching lighting and sound design and operation to one and two year stage management students, budgeting and supervising all technical aspects of the hectic annual production schedule at both school venues, and for tours and transfers to other venues. Workshops & Teaching

Cambridge Arts Theatre - Technical Co-ordinator for The Sky's the Limit (2004), Reflections (2003), Surfing the Net (2002), Taking Part (2001),  the summer schools for deaf and hearing people aged 13-18 as performers and stage crew. Also taught and supervised lighting  - Conducted talk on theatre lighting techniques to the Gone to Lunch Club, an over 60's lunchtime theatre group Arden Theatre - Taught basic electrics course, working with assistant student lighting designers. Lit productions of Cartwrights Follies, Mad Forest, A Man Outside and Oh! What a Lovely War (See alsoTechnical Credits , Lighting Design Galleries & Lighting Design). Norwich Playhouse - Co-devised and taught technical summer school for 14-30 year olds covering areas of lighting, sound and stage management  (See alsoTechnical Credits, Lighting Design , Lighting Design Galleries & Sound Design). Electric Theatre  for Guildford Borough Council  - Co-devised and taught technical summer school covering areas of lighting, sound and stage management Time and Space Exhibition  for the Society of British Theatre Designers - Devised and ran lighting design workshops for sixth form students. Wrote lighting and design notes to accompany exhibition The Hope Street Project, Liverpool - Taught lighting design, sound and technical theatre to teenagers involved in the theatre-based training project The School of the Science of Acting - Taught lighting design syllabus on Directors' Course
